Lunch @ the Grand Hotel

The Grand Hotel has a couple of restaurants and I decided to try some Taiwanese style 'dim sum' (if you can call it that) for lunch.  Here's an appetizer of fishcake mixed in with some peppers and chili.

Soft soup noodles served with plenty of Chinese mushrooms in a very rich broth:

Fried dumplings served in an unusual manner.  This was the first time I've seen fried dumplings served upside down with some flaky, crunchy material (possibly batter mixed with egg white) connecting them. Dipping these babies into red vinegar certainly enhances the flavor!

Two different types of steamed dumplings (pork in the first one and likely chives in the second if I remember correctly).  I just love the feeling you get when you bite into the dumpling and the juices stream out into your mouth.  Delicious!

A flaky, crunchy dessert that crumbles in your mouth to finish off a satisfying and filling lunch!
