Caesars Palace

Caesars Palace is a luxury hotel/resort/casino sandwiched between the Mirage and the Bellagio.  From a distance, we can see some of the buildings and the main entrance but the Colosseum (originally built for Celine Dion's show and used now for shows/performances) is hidden from view.

From the entrance of Caesars Palace, you can get a view of the Imperial Palace with Harrahs and the Venetian poking out in the background.

At the front of the hotel are a number of statues including some famous replicas such as those of David and Venus de Milo.

Within Caesars Palace is the Forums, a large collection of retail shops set within the resort and keeping with the theme of classical Rome.

Every so often, you will encounter large statues and marble columns depicting scenes from various Roman/Greek myths.

One of the more famous free shows on the Strip you shouldn't miss is The Fall of Atlantis which takes place in a larger ampitheatre/hall within the Forum Shops. The venue provides for an interesting show incorporating some neat special effects of light, water, sound and fire.

There was actually another area where there are some statues which also move around and talk but that was closed off for renovations during my stay. Below is the main atrium to the shops with some stunning arches and domes complete with large figures of mythical beasts like this Griffin below:
