Jean Georges Steakhouse

Continuing on with the previous trip to Las Vegas, located in the Aria Resort & Casino is Jean Georges Steakhouse, tucked away on the second floor past the entrance to the Cirque du Soleil Zarkana entrance. Having sampled Jean Georges Nougatine restaurant in New York previously for lunch, expectations were high.

The bread appetizers were quite interesting in shape, size and texture. Delicious nonetheless.

The dungeness crabcake appetizer was excellent, topped with an heirloom tomato salad with raspberry vinaigrette on top. I only wish the portions were a little bit bigger...

The roasted Chilean sea bass was a near plate of perfection (maybe a tad too salty) nicely paired with grilled maitake mushrooms. The texture was unmatched with the fish simply melting in your mouth. The miso-yuzu glaze gave the fish a very nice flavor although for the thickness of the fish, I did feel it was overly salty.

I figure I should probably have tried out the steak given that I was in a steakhouse but after the earlier buffet this was about as much as I could stomach. Definitely worth returning to try something else next time!
