The Aston Lakeland Village is located very centrally in the South Lake Tahoe area. They offer a variety of lodging options from lodges to lakefront town homes. The complex has a very communal feel with the buildings grouped fairly close together while the trees make you feel right at home with nature.
We were originally booked for a lodge with a studio and loft but the front desk kindly upgraded us to a one bedroom loft town-home which gave us a lot more room. The bedroom is located downstairs along with the bathroom and there are actually spots allocated to put your skis if you're staying during the winter which is rather convenient.
Aston's own branded bath amenities:
The stairs lead up to the main living area which was quite roomy and comfortable with a decent-sized kitchen stocked with utensils and complete with a stove, refrigerator and microwave.
The kitchen opens up directly into the living room which is furnished with several comfortable sofas and a large TV perfect for watching movies. The spiral staircase leads up to the loft where you can make use of another queen bed and a bunk bed.
The view from the loft:
The property consists of a number of lodges and is ideally situated right next to Lake Tahoe so you can easily access the beach. Here you can see some of the lakefront townhomes that offer a gorgeous view of the lake. If you're into water sports, there is actually a place (Action Watersports) just a 5 minute walk west along the beach where you can rent various equipment for use on the lake.
Overall, we were fairly pleased with the Aston property here in South Lake Tahoe and would definitely consider trying out their other properties which are mostly located in Hawaii.
